KADCO

KADCO

STATUS: REALISED
SUMMARY

The Government of Tanzania signed a 25-year Concession Agreement in July 1998 with the Kilimanjaro Airports Development Company (KADCO), which granted KADCO the right to operate the Kilimanjaro International Airport and to develop a large tract of land surrounding the airport totalling 109 square kilometres.

KADCO was a legacy asset acquired by SAIF in 1999. Following the appointment of AIIM as Fund Manager in 2001, SAIF disposed of its equity interest in KADCO in 2009.
