Kipeto Energy Limited Company (KEL) is responsible for the overall financing, construction and operation of the Kipeto Wind Power Project. With a generation capacity of 100MW of clean, renewable electrical energy, the project is the second largest wind power project in Kenya.

AIIM played a leading role in the development of the project from 2014 to 2018 when it sold its controlling interest in the project. Financial close was achieved in December 2018 and construction is expected to be completed towards the end of 2020.
