Investing in Africa and African infrastructure comes with a disproportionately high perception of risk and, as a result, is reflected in deal structure, AIIM’s joint-MD Vuyo Ntoi explained to the Financial Times.

This limits investment activity on the continent, but this low level of involvement means “the returns are still relatively attractive,” according to Ntoi.

Constraints on funding continue to widen the infrastructure investment gap in the country.
