Ucingo Trust (Ucingo) was formed by a syndicate of funders whose main objective was to purchase an exposure to Telkom Limited, the main incumbent fixed line telecommunication provider in South Africa.

IDEAS and SAIF’s equity interest in Ucingo was acquired in 2001 and disposed of in 2003.
