The Linde Solar Project Company was awarded a contract to build, own and operate a solar photovoltaic (PV) farm the Linde area near Hanover in the Northern Cape. The solar farm has a generation capacity of 38MW. Under a 20-year power purchase agreement, construction commenced in 2012 and electricity delivery to the grid started in mid-2014.
