Africa CEO Webinar

AIIM’s Head of Investments Romain Py participated in a webinar on 25 June organised by the Africa CEO Forum on the impacts of Covid-19 on Africa’s power sector.

Joining Romain on the panel was Owen Omogiafo, CEO of Transcorp PLC; Simon Ratledge, Partner at Asafo & Co; and Damilola Ogunbiyi, CEO and UN SRSG for Sustainable Energy for All.

The key topics of discussion included the outlook for Africa’s energy sector in light of the Covid-19 crisis, the immediate impact on projects and whether renewables can emerge stronger. Romain also touched on the impact on AIIM’s portfolio and how the AfCFTA can spur growth of the energy sector.
