Spread over 3,500 hectares Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm is one of the largest wind farms in South Africa and has an installed capacity of 138MW generated by 60 Siemens 2.3 MW wind turbines. Located about 70 kilometres west of Port Elizabeth in the Kouga Municipality area in the Eastern Cape, it is one of the first onshore wind farms to be developed under the country’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme.
